We have now received the two year credit for our crossing in September, after two previous emails to BF, OH did a live chat and was assured we would be getting the credit nearer the date but it arrived the next day. Yesterday we received an email which seems to be offering us a discount of 20 and 15 percent depending on which we rebook, the France or Spain crossing.
Just didn't want to lose the money obviously so all good for now. That's two crossings with credits by the time we get to use them it'll seem like a 'free' trip!

What I can tell you is yes bf are giving you a percentage off your next crossing , what they don’t tell you is they are going to hike up their prices .
I am not surprised you received your vouchers very quickly , as for people’s refunds that’s another story , looks like they are robbing Peter to pay Paul. I hope your ferry crossing goes ahead.
We are requesting a full refund no vouchers , we will book when it’s the right time for us and this year is not the time ..

Saxo 1 of course they can , how do you think they will keep afloat, by hiking prices . People have already tried to rebook and yes the prices have increased .
If people are trying to book a new xing now then the price is at todays rate,if they are using the refund voucher then the price must not exceed the original cost for the same service previously booked.
Rough translation from the French ordonnance:
"Professionals must propose a new contract which must meet the following conditions:
the service must be identical or equivalent to the service provided for by the contract terminated,
the price must not be higher than that of the service which was provided for in the resolved (cancelled) contract,
the traveler does not pay a fare increase other than, if applicable, that which the cancelled contract provided for."

It is only applicable in exceptional circumstances and force majeur.I doubt anybody will be rebooking if they are applicable,it also states that the contract is the same,so if you don’t go on exactly the same dates you originally booked,you want to theorectically change the contract. If you change the contract Brittany Ferries can change the price.
Exceptional,Unavoidable and force majeur is what exists with the Covid pandemic.The order was specifically introduced to cover the Covid pandemic.
It isn't possible to go on exactly the same dates unless you have a time machine,if however you travel at a similar time and on the same route then they must honour the original price.

We were due to travel at the end of june. Booked the cheapest sailing and cabin Several weeks back I checked the website saying that even we would be able to get a refund. I asked for a credit note and it arrived within one week. I also got the discount voucher a few days later
