In my area night markets,special theme nights and other large gatherings and tourist events have all been cancelled for this year. Even our village fete is in doubt.

That said it could all change at the drop of a hat.Getting concrete answers is quite difficult as there is alot of rumour and hear say.

Not my experience at all, our local supermarket is still enforcing social distancing Staff all wearing masks, some of the smaller shops like the Tabac are far more relaxed.

You are much less at risk from staff,it’s the other customers that pose the greater risk and they seem,in the most part,to have binned off social distancing.

we have been in France for almost a week now, we arrived on the afternoon of the day the borders opened (15th june), via the tunnel
we were asked where we were going by french border control, i answered the vandee, he said 'nice, enjoy your holiday' and waved us on.
no mention of isolation or any other requirements. gendarmes at the tolls, didnt give us a second glance
french people we have met have all given us a warm welcome FROM A DISTANCE,
so come on over to France C'est perfect !!
PS Spanish borders opened this morning aswell !
