Mi premium with C & C Clubcare Insurance has jumped up from £113 to £191.
Like most others in my position ( stored indoors in France) the caravan has not been used in 12 months and probably won’t be used for another 8 months. I can’t understand the hike.
I have yet to negotiate with them but anyone else in similar situation? We are in very secure storage and I am contemplating suspending insurance until next we plan to travel, as nothing is certain now and next year, who knows?

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Our premium, also with C+C Clubcare went up about £30 when we renewed in June, but is still about £100 less than Towergate wanted when we changed last year.
Knowing the storage, I'd think suspending the insurance until you travel again would be perfectly reasonable - unless it's a condition of the storage that you have cover (can't remember!). I guess there's always the (minimal) risk of fire or something like that though.
Yep. I’d forgotten that there was a hike last year for abroad storage, but I got that waived due to a recorded call I’d previously had with them and they had warned me it would go up this year.
I took down the current value and upped the excess, thereby getting premium down £20
I decided to go ahead.
By the way, I contacted Towergate who I abandoned last year in favour of C & CC and their underwriter declined the cover having tightened up on non-conventional storage.
Despite Botz being more secure than any conventional storage.
Could have left it till next year I guess, but I am hoping that by renewing now I won’t have to jump through hoops to reinstate the policy later. It’s still relatively cheap, like the storage.
Just an aside - it looks like we won't be getting to our van this year either and our payment to the Briands for storage will be due late September. We paid cash when we dropped the caravan off last year but are unsure how to pay this year. Obviously will be getting in touch with them before then but wondered what you've done about this.

Kelper who also stores there pays by BACS transfer. I plan to get in touch soon and ask if they want that, or if they prefer the cash next year when we pick up. (Hopefully)
I’ll let you know on this thread what they say.
We also store our van in France, though we can't go out this year as our son is sheilding. We pay storage fees by paypal. Just make sure to send to the payment to " friend" rather than business transaction, then there is no fee.

Would be grateful if you can let us know Karine's response and also whether the storage fees have increased for this/next year - thank you.
I emailed on Tuesday bofs and no reply yet. Busy or on holiday? If no reply, I will try again, and of course I will let you know. No increase in last few years so maybe overdue?
Thanks for the info. When we paid last year Monsieur was saying that the prices would probably need to go up this time, so if they do, it won't be a surprise. Still a bargain for fully enclosed and secure though and so pleased we moved there last year - no worries about what we're going to find when we go back next year.
