Supposed to be sailing Sunday night to Calais but I’m pretty certain it might be getting added to the list of quarantine countries and cancelled this weekend
Why does the Gov assume that everyone has access to the internet or smart phones while abroad? I will have neither when I am away in France in Sept!

I returned a week ago, you have to fill in the form not more than 48 hours before you are due to travel back, they said that you need a copy, either paper or on your phone as you will have to show it on arrival, no-one asked me for it I just drove off the train and onto the motorway as usual
Can someone direct me to the form please? We are meant to be travelling out on 22/8 and returning 7/9. If the ferries are still running we’ll go as we probably wouldn’t get our ferry fare back just because of new quarantine arrangements would we? Unless they’ll do a refund credit voucher....

I found it! It won’t let me complete it till within 48 hours of return journey. It’s unnecessarily complex so far.... why does it need passport details when presumably you’ve just shown your passport? Why can’t you print a form out and take it with you? Typical OTT stuff
It appears that you can only do this on-line, is there no way to print off a paper copy? Like many I do not use data on my phone and so rely on internet connections that I can pick up while travelling, and might not find one available during the last few days of my holiday.
Can I just thank posters on UKCS for being such a pleasant and sensible bunch. A post about these forms was put on a Facebook page that I follow yesterday and immediately there was post after post about asylum seekers coming across the channel and being given money and fancy hotels to stay in, all without having to fill in these forms.
I have always thought that UKCS was a forum for reasonable discussion and yesterday really brought it home to me again. I have just "unfollowed" that particular FB page.

I’m in agreement with you there Badger54. This really is a lovely forum and I say ‘“thank you” too! Someone asked - on probably the same Facebook page you’re talking about - for advice on Red Pennant. I have only just sorted ours out and literally asked the Red Pennant advisor virtually the same questions that this person wanted to know. So I passed on all the information I had been told and was with in seconds accused of being a ‘Facebook expert’ and in other words, a know all but know nothing!! I noticed later on that day that the persons post had been removed and from bits of conversation I could salvage (somehow, some comments were still showing on my phone) I could see that there was lots of nasty comments flying around. I’d leave the page, but the majority of the posts are great and I enjoy reading them and seeing photos of where they have been. I don’t know if these people are trolls or just bored, sad and nasty people??!!!
we returned from france last friday we filled the form in the day before and sailed back roscoff to plymouth and like big roy nobody ask to see our form so what was the point
We filled in our forms, had the email ready but did not have to show it, we were just asked if we had done so returning today on Eurotunnel.
My sons flew back Beziers to Manchester on Friday & all on the flight had to complete the form, at the airport on arrival if not already done
