I can’t recommend a particular site that would meet all your requirements but just beware that there are large sections of the Loire where launching dinghies/canoes is forbidden as it is considered too dangerous due to the current. We were at a site on the Loire several years ago and there were signs everywhere about not going into or onto the river. Judging by the complete excess of signs, my guess is that someone may have had a nasty accident and the local Mairie wasn’t taking any chances. We then saw similar signs at another site about 50 miles further along the river the following year.

My brother also gives Les Saules the thumbs up - he stayed there in a static with his wife and three teenage step kids but I know they have some good sized pitches for motorhomes.
Not been, but on our list is the municipal "Au Bord Du Loir" at Lude, which has free use of the town pool (indoor and outdoor) and is steps away from the village and its restaurants.
We're thinking of it as a stopover.

Municipal at Amboise ... on the island in the Loire, beside the town and famous chateau of the same name.
I launched my kayak from the site ... easy walk into town ... strategically placed for lots of other Loire 'goodies' ... see my review.

I'd second the site at Loches and also Saumur. I'd recommend Leonardo da Vinci for a visit if you go to Amboise.
