If Covid situation improves by next summer we are thinking of having an extended holiday in France crossing to Calais and returning Cherbourg - Poole. Is it still possible to use Tesco vouchers to pay for a Eurotunnel crossing. Have a feeling I'd seen they were being discontinued.

That's good hoping to visit Ypres again athen back across France to Royan. Have a feeling though that Tesco offer is only available on a two way trip. Is that correct or is it possible to book a single outwards crossing.

Last time I looked the trip had to be booked both ways to use Tesco vouchers

No, I’ve booked one way in the past.
Great deal. Also when the Covid cancellations happened, Le Shuttle gave vouchers for the full value. ie- booked using £50 of Tesco Vouchers, refund of £150 given in Eurotunnel Vouchers, and a year given to rebook, for a crossing up to a year ahead of booking date - effectively 2 years.
More than fair. Also quicker and more comfortable crossing sitting in your car having a coffee and sandwich!

Eurotunnel also offer, for a fee of £40, a full refund on your ticket for any reason. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Just looked at the Clubcard Boost site and clicked Travel. No mention of the Tunnel as a partner only Irish Ferries and Sienna line!

We have booked a one way recently for travel through the tunnel to France using Tesco vouchers. If doing one way it can only be UK to Calais and not the other way around.

As Plummy said above, you can only book one ways from Folkestone. I thought I'd share my 2020 experience with you. We booked with Tesco vouchers before Covid was even thought about. We were due to go in August 20. We decided in June that it was a no go and so I contacted Eurotunnel. They were extremely helpful and gave me a credit note (I hadn't paid any money, only Tesco vouchers) that had to be used within 12 months but when used could be for a trip within another 12 months. I used the credit note to book next year's trip a few weeks ago and it was really easy. In fact, last year we booked for car and folding camper, next year it will be car only so with the extra balance I was able to upgrade to FlexiPlus.

Is that because “computer says no”? It might be possible by phoning? I’m pretty sure I booked outbound only one year, going solo, and added the return later as I was bringing back a caravan.
Worth asking though.
And yes, Le shuttle staff are very helpful, accommodating and efficient.
On cancelling last year, we too got a full value voucher, a year to book for up to a year ahead, so virtually a two year window.

We did it 2 years ago tunnel out with Tesco vouchers then ferry from Caen back.
The only thing I’ve seen is you won’t be able to use them for Now TV as from January.
