Hi All,
We currently have a uk wedding booked for this year which we are almost certainly going to cancel due to covid, so me and the mrs had a chat last night and we are excited by the idea of having a campsite wedding! We will have the actual "proper official ceremony" in the uk, but we would love to have a reception and speeches, the meal etc at a campsite, be it maybe on a beach or a site restaurant.
We would be looking at taking our tourer with us and having it as part of our 2 week holiday and inviting close family and friends to come with us, be that in their own tourers, motorhomes or tents or maybe flying in and staying the weekend with us.
So we are looking for some inspiration, site suggestions etc, we have a certain site in mind already in Costa Brava but I wont say any more. Thanks in advance
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Not Spain but have a look at the reviews for Chateau de Chanteloup Sille le Philippe - we had thought about celebrating a big birthday here. The restaurant I’d fairly traditional, but the amazing family that run this site are renowned for putting on gastronomic celebrations, including for the Le Mans classic car event so i’m sure they’d be able to put on something special for you!
We went to a wedding at prullenbos.be/ a couple of years back and although we stayed in the b&b in Laarne (a short drive across a track away) some of the guests camped and some stayed in the Inn on the site. Though the temperatures were in the 30`s when we were there it is Belgium not Spain and therefore the weather is less reliable!
A compromise might be having the reception at a UK site & the honeymoon abroad. A lot less organising & probably more friends & family enjoying your special day.
It depends on how many people you plan to invite. Last year in May we were in a small camp in Croatia and there was one wedding in the camp. There were about 25-30 people accommodated in the camp and mobile homes. The ceremony was at the pool. It looked nice. The camp is called Odmoree.
How about Camping Amfora it is a very well thought of site and the facilities are second to none. Also they have lots of options for rentals for those that dont want to camp.It can be a bit windy there though.
