Drove up to the peage barrier today, no "bip" dodgy battery methinks.
when I got home this afternoon, checked my account my registered credit card was out of date. worth checking before you come on holiday to France

Yep good advice mgbgtv8, we always check before we go that the Tag account is active, and as I am a belt and braces type of guy, have both Bip&Go and Appr Tags !
One for the outward journey and the other for the return journey.
A couple of yrs ago, we received a new one in the post... hadn’t asked for one. The attached letter said, we noticed you’d had it for a while and the battery was about to go? so they sent a new one out to us! Excellent customer service!

Which company was that? We have APPR.

I have had my ATMB one for 6 years or so and was worried that the battery might fail while away so just ordered an additional tag from them (on the same account), they just charged me for the postage. Like the original poster here I forgot to update my credit card details when I had a new card and ATMB actually phoned me, in English.
I had y email last week... from ATMB... reminding me my credit card was due to expire end of March, and advising me to log on and update the account to my new card details, which I've now done.
Without that email, I most certainly would have forgot!

Thanks for the reminder! I have just logged on to APRR to update. The message comes up with ‘before your credit card expires, proceed to debit on Iban/French RIB’ does anyone know if this is different from a normal direct debit from credit card? Thanks 😊

To be fair, we are with both Bip&Go and APRR and I always just phone them up with any change in details or requests.
Of course I don't get far with my pathetic command of the French language, but they soon find me an operator that speaks fluent English.
To be fair they are excellent if you speak to them on the phone, i was just trying to renew online with automatic translate, which isnt quite aso easy to understand at times!

The IBAN / Rib is for payment from a French bank account.
I E-mailed Sanaf for instructions and the replied with a form to be filled in and sent back to them. 24 hours all done.
Thanks that makes sense! Will have another try ignoring that bit! 👍🏻

Thanks Eddie, that has worked. It needs to be done so infrequently that I always forget what to do! 😊
