Following on from the ADAC discussions, I’ve been looking at Green Flag for breakdown cover in Europe for 6/8 weeks which would normally be our maximum. They appear to cover a maximum of 30 days.
Can I ask if others have been able to get cover for longer than 30 days and at sensible prices?
I’m realising how good cover we had from ADAC. So sad it came to an end

Saga breakdown insurance will cover all year in Europe. They will recover caravan along with car if attached. Greenflag according to their website will cover a single trip for 90 days or multiple trips of no longer than 30 days up to a maximum of 90 days. So if you are only doing one trip abroad in a year Greenflag will cover you for probably cheaper than Saga.
Driver Guardian breakdown/ recovery policy lets you specify whether you want cover for car only or car plus caravan, and also lets you specify whether you want cover in Europe for 31, 90, or 120 days per trip.

We have the Nationwide Flexplus which offers, in its goodie pack,
travel insurance, breakdown insurance etc
For breakdown:
Any trip, within the specified limits of UK and Europe, which begins and ends in the UK and does not exceed 180 days in total in a 12 month period
The bundle, which includes European Health insurance etc, costs £13 per mont(£156 pa)
I'm with green flag and used it for a 8 week break in 2019, I have my yearly cover with them anyway. We needed to use it on day 5 and although the garages themselves were a bit rubbish, but green flag ( or the company they use in france) were great, took a week to sort car but hire car, hire car, taxi fares all covered and we weren't a penny out of pocket. I just lost a day of my holiday driving back up to Paris from Ardeche to pick it up

Thank you for replies. I’m going to hang on until it looks like we will be caravaning and will get quotes at that point. Your recommendations are much appreciated.
I don't think Nationwide insurance is available for new customers. I would love to be wrong so if anyone finds this to be the case, please post about it.
