Hi All,
So confused, we are a family of 2 adults and 2 children- age 12 and 8.
Both myself and my husband are fully vaccinated
8 year old appears to be exempt
12 year old I cant work out what he needs - is it just a negative PCR and he is then ok because he is travelling with us - as obviously he is not vaccinated so will he fall into the requirements for unvaccinated and therefore need a compelling reason and need to isolate ??

info pasted from BF website below

Any help guidance ?

(also OH has had the Indian AZ jab - hoping thats going to just resolve itself!)

Before arrival in France all passengers aged 11 years or older will need:

1. Evidence of a negative non-NHS PCR test carried out less than 72 hours before departure, or a non-NHS antigen test, carried out less than 48 hours before departure. Children under 11 years are exempt. Please note that there are no testing facilities in any of our ports

2. A Sworn Statement form when you travel to certify you do not have COVID-19 or its symptoms and have not been in contact with any confirmed cases in the previous 14 days before travel

Unvaccinated passengers will also need to:

1. Complete a compelling reason document to enter France. You will also need a compelling reason document to leave France

2. Self-isolate for seven days upon arrival in France and a second PCR test will need to be completed at the end of this seven-day period. Please note that there are no testing facilities in any of our ports

3. You may also be given a random antigen test in your port of arrival in France

Fully vaccinated passengers will need to prove that the full course of the vaccine has been administered as follows:

2 weeks after the 2nd injection for two-dose vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca)
4 weeks after the injection for single-dose vaccines (Johnson & Johnson)
2 weeks after the vaccine for people who have previously had COVID-19 (only 1 injection needed)
You will need to prove your vaccination status using the NHS app, or you can visit the NHS website to download and print a Pdf document. You can find more information about this here.

Scottish passengers will need to download and print a Covid Status certificate from Public Health Scotland .

You will be asked to show you have met all these requirements at check in and, without them, boarding will be refused.

Your 12 year old need not be vaccinated but can have an antigen test within 48 hours of travel to France - so can double vaccinated adults . They have to be private / commercial and paid for tests. None of you need isolate in France. Have a good holiday.

As said, your 12 year old does not have to isolate/ provide reason for travel. See the government website on travel to France from uk

where does this sworn statement come from?

2. A Sworn Statement form when you travel to certify you do not have COVID-19 or its symptoms and have not been in contact with any confirmed cases in the previous 14 days before travel

i also have a 12 year old, is it only for him that we need to complete forms?

i have actually abandoned my french trip because the removal of quarantine came out of the blue and we had not booked a campsite and strangely most of the big campsites with water parks etc are booked up now. i am of course kicking myself in hindsight.

my wife was telling me of paperwork to complete but is this only for the unvaccinated 12 year old? we are both double vaccinated and our youngest is only 9.

i guess this time next year we will need yet more vaccinations before we can go.

Everyone arriving in France needs to complete a Declaration d'Honneur. They can be downloaded from the Eurotunnel website (Travel documents). They may, or may not, be checked.
