Is it easy to get to Caen Ferry Port towing a caravan, or do you have to go through Caen? Is it manic?

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
It must be easy because even I have managed without any hassle.
Last time we went, we left Portsmouth late afternoon and drove to caravan site just on outskirts of Ouisterham, Bella Riva. OK for an overnight stop but had to prebook to be able to arrive on that late ferry. No more than a 10 minute drive from the ferry.

Thank you - we'll have to go right round the ring road, we'll be going to the port from Bayeux
You don't go all the way round the ring round only about a third to the north of Caen. When approaching the ring road from Bayeux on N13 take Peripherique Nord, the Car ferry is signposted. Leave the ring road at Junction 3a Porte d'Angleterre, keep following car Ferry signs to the port.
