We are returning from France mid-August and assuming day 2 and 8 testing is still mandatory, I'm looking for the lowest cost option for 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 13). I'll book close to our departure date in case the requirement changes.
I've discovered the low cost packages seem to be out of stock, but the £100 plus options are still available.
MoneySavingExpert and Which? have researched this and their findings are on line. There are reliable firms offering Day2 and Day 8 PCR tests and charging around £100 for the two. Some travel agents have special offers for those booking package tours. But there are also reports on line of fly by night firms offering cheap prices, taking money, but not delivering.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I see Randox are taking full advantage of the situation, in June they were under £100 for day 2/8 now they've kindly put it up to £143.
There's always a silver lining for some folks.
------------- XVI yes?

I am probably mistaken but the update email from the government today doesn’t mention the day 2 or 8 test 🤞
gov.uk still claims arrivals from France require Day2/8 tests.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Quick update; As Val predicted, most are over £100 - there are a handful offering £25/30 - for a collection only kit - with zero availability for collection appointments. I'm not sure if these low prices are genuine or not.
Most of the testing sites linked on the gov.uk site look pretty inept, although I started looking at the lowest cost providers first. Maybe they get slicker when you're spending over £100!
I've found one at £70: https://www.1corporatecovidtests.com/products/covid-19-pcr-day-2-8
