Hi we are (hopefully) driving through France to Spain in a couple of weeks. I am finding getting advice on tests required etc a bit confusing. I am guessing we will have to find somewhere in Spain to get a test to travel home. I have only seen ,'fit to fly ' certificate mentioned no 'Fit to Eurotunnel' !! 🤔

To avoid confusion it really should have been called Fit to Travel!
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
You don’t need a PCR test to return home from France or Spain. A lateral flow antigen test will do. Fit to fly is the same as Fit to use ferry or tunnel.
I contacted the Tourist Info where I was staying on my return - which was Neufchatel en Bray - by email a few days before to see if they had a testing facility nearby, they did.
When I got to N-e-B I walked along to the TI at 10am & asked if they could make arrangements as although my French is ok-ish I would struggle over the phone. They booked us up for 3pm at the local Health Centre & we had a link of the results texted to us by 7pm.
It was a PCR test & cost €49.

Its frustrating really as we are staying over 1 night in france but it's that part that requires us to Self Isolate for 10 days on return, we will be 3 weeks in Spain. Can i ask where you all book your tests before leaving UK?
For pre departure tests in UK before going to France look at Express test and Wren healthcare -prices for lateral flow antigen tests in the £35 - £39 range.
For pre departure tests in France before coming home - similar lateral flow antigen tests at many pharmacies with prices in the € 25 -€ 29 range.
You don`t need to book anything before you leave the UK. At present you would need to book the UK PCR tests before you arrive back, but bear in mind that if you are going to be away for 3 weeks the rules could, and are likely to, change. You would not want to have paid 3 weeks in advance for tests that you don`t need.

You really just need to shop around, but prices have risen in the last couple of weeks. No surprise there.

You can return test kits, but will not get all your money back.

Hi, thanks for your advice, I thought we needed the Negative test proof to take with us for entry to France. The company we have booked the Campsite with in Spain aren't helping with advice and I have read so many different government things I'm more confused than i was before I looked

I believe that the test before entering France is no longer required.
