Hi, planning on going to France mid September and thought I was up to date on green cards, can anyone with more knowledge than me let me know if I am correct in my assertion that I do not need a green card for car or Caravan whilst driving in France?
Thanks Paul

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

No. You DO need green cards, one each for car and caravan, both issued by car insurer.
When you did need them you did not need two as both got listed on the one card.

I called our Insurance company as I noticed that the Insurance Policy document says that it replaces the Green Card but though it best to check. Good job I did as my insurance company have said each time we travel we need to tell them the dates we will be out of the country and list all countries we will be visiting.
There was no charge to notify but she said that we must do this before each trip, explained we don't always know where we will go and she said better to list all possible countries otherwise may not be insured. She mentioned it is something the underwriters are starting to ask for.
She explained the policy document replaces the Green card so no need for one to be sent out but very clear they must be informed of the travel info each time, it may just be our company but I would check.....
