Just landed in France via Eurotunnel, 5 minutes in the pet reception, border control had half a look at my nhs vaccine app, no forms to hand in, no check for food, dead easy, happy days
I forgot to add, there's no automatic check in at the barrier, there's now a bloke checking you in and you need your booking number to hand

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I’ve been here for almost a week now, exit from Ireland and entry into France was easy enough as long as you had your paperwork (digital mostly other than the sworn declaration).
I’ve not really noticed any difference between here and at home in Ireland as far as COVID restrictions are concerned, masks in confined public spaces including shops and restaurants/cafes/bars until seated. Digital Covid certificate scanned on entering restaurants etc. I have to say that compliance appears universal and I feel just as safe if not somewhat safer with the caravan in rural France than I did at home in rural Ireland. I’m due to return home late October and I will then have no hesitation booking my spring trip to start early April if conditions don’t deteriorate between now and then…..
We came over Portsmouth to Caen on Monday , day sailing.
We were at the front of the caravan lane, just 3 of us and next to a Motorhome.
Security gates were opened and they started to call the cars forward. 4 at a time straight in to be fully searched. Watched this for nearly an hour and can honestly say I was a bit twitchy.
Our turn came and we were waved straight through.
The contraband we didn’t bring tasted so good this morning with eggs and beans.
Long queue at passport control on french side checking all paperwork.
Got to Riva Bella around 22.45. Barrier code wouldn’t work. Couldn’t find ehu. But hey ho we are here in Brittany for a few days before we go south and it’s flipping cold.
That’s just our experience. Hopefully next year we will be back through the tunnel.

Presumably you managed to get into the site somehow, even though the code didn't work? We're looking at staying at Riva Bella before the morning ferry back to the UK and in email communication have been told we'll be given a code to open the barrier to exit the site early. A bit concerned now as to what we would do if the code didn't work to let us out!
There was a french lady that just happened to walk past and let us through.
Next morning we got to the barrier, put in the code and it didn’t work. The lady saw us from reception and opened it for us.
Now I think about it. I reckon the code she gave us was the one to use between 11pm and 7am. The thing is the code for normal time wasn’t written on the paper that we got which was stuck to reception door.

Well, one consolation...now you lot can all clear off to France again there should be more room on UK campsites...bon voyage!
Lets hope the prices dive as well, feel really sorry for family's that need full facility sites there were some really stupid prices being asked for here
