If you are going by ferry or tunnel to France and if you have proof that you,are fully vaccinated then you can land n France without any covid test, then you just drive up the road to Belgium. The land border is open.
If you are flying directly into Belgium then follow the rules in the UK government website.
If you are fully vacced you can enter France with no test. So just go Dover to Calais & drive to Ypres. The border between France & Belg is completely open. You can even drive in via a back road.

thanks for the replies , after spending most of the day reading on uk an Belgium websites im still lost on the rules. as I struggle with anxiety I don't relish the thought of been sat at dover beating myself up thinking have I got it right, have I missed something etc . no two websites give the same answer. even the ypres tourist office has a link that states after you fill out the passenger locator form you will receive a text with a code to book your test when you arrive in ypres at 55 euro each. no mention that if you have had all your jabs you don't need a test. im on the verge of cutting my losses an scrapping it all, I know I wont get the ferry an premier inn money back, but that's life. it started out so clear an the more you look into it the rules just get more complicated.
Flippin ‘eck Six. Relax it ain’t that difficult. You will find nobody is bothered. Provided you are vaxX3 & have your travel vac pass on the NHS app on your phone or printed out in case it is needed in France then all good.
Example last Sept we drove from France thru Belg & to Holland to get ferry home. No probs at all. Even got test to return free in Holland which ain’t needed now. If you want to go just get your ferry from Dover to Calais then you are not much more than an hour to Ypres.
Go down A16 from Calais to Dunkirk. Take A25 exit signposted Lille & go off at J13. Straight over border to Poperinge & follow signs to Ypres. It’s that simple. Enjoy.
