We live in France and have all our vehicles insured here etc. However the one thing they just don't do, apart from very basic cover included in the car insurance, is a decent separate breakdown and recovery.
So the question is does anyone know if Red Pennant would provide coverage for Europe (inc GB) for someone who doesn't live in the UK?
and if Val_A reads this what do you do? lol
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
No peersonal experience but a lot of people used to speak highly of ADAC. They no longer cover UK-based members but worth a go since you live in France.
Don't touch Opteven if you have a choice. When I broke down in France they were the company that my UK based cover used.
It would have been easier to do it all myself and get refunded and in the end, when I got back to the UK, that was what I had to do when they failed to arrange the promised hire car or taxi back to my home from Dover.

Red Pennant won't insure you. We store our caravan in France, and have done for years. We acted as hosts for a Caravan Club tour on one occasion, and part of the package was Red Pennant, but they couldn't provide this for us because of the requirement for the journey to start from home in the UK.
We have Driver Guardian - but we don't live full-time in the UK. We retain our home in Yorkshire, spending about equal time in each (in normal circumstances).
