I've just had an email from ACSI offering the app free for 2022 if I change my subscription to include the app from 2023 onwards.
I was considering buying the app for this year anyway, but wondered whether there would be any advantage over just using the website, which I can access using my phone (no roaming charges with my provider).
Has anyone had experience of using the app, and would you recommend or otherwise?

I am sure you will get replies from people who go nowhere without an app. My own preference
however, was to decide a place where I wanted to go, to choose a site there which I liked the look of and could afford, and when I arrived to ask whether there was any ACSI discount or not. Sometimes there was, and sometimes there wasn’t
I just ordered the Guides and at checkout they gave me the app for free. I to like reading the Books but as it was free ( SG) i got it. It cost 12 euro to send it to Me here in Aus.

I mainly use the book, but the app is quite a quick way of checking a wider area while on the move (not driving, of course!). Otherwise, I end up with too many books on my lap while moving.

I get both the book and the app and have done so for the last 4 years. I find that for the last 3 years I haven’t opened the book other than to take out the card. I find the app much more user friendly and there is access to much more information for each campsite, including up to date reviews and photos.

Same here Jonbo.
For me the app is just so much easier to use. We travel about a lot when we are away, moving on every few days. The maps on the app let me easily find ACSI card sites on the route we are taking and even allow me to book at the click of a button. on some of them, even while we are driving along (husband driving, not me!)
Some of the other benefits are the details of each site and it’s facilities etc are much easier to read and you can keep a ‘favourites’ list that for easy identification of sites that you like.
Finally having poor eyesight I find the app so much easier to physically read than the small print in the books, a major bonus.
