Hi,
There are plenty of apps for overnight stays for mobile homes but not a lot for car+caravan. Does anyone have any recommendations in area between narbonne in France and barcelona in Spain?
Suggestions most welcome,
Chris.

Thank you.
Surprised they want payment in advance.
Only time we`ve paid in advance very disappointed.
Will check it out,
Chris.

We rarely book ahead, especially for one night stops, as we usually find that you can get in if you stop around 4.30, even in the busiest places. Along that coast there will always be another site nearby.

However, on the rare occasion we have booked more than a day or two ahead we have usually been asked for a deposit with the balance to be paid ahead of arrival. That's certainly been the case with the Huttopia Versailles site which I have booked this year.

We have found the same in the UK.

Thanks for info but no thanks to train.
Only time I`ve been on a train to Barcelona, my sister had her purse taken by pickpockets!!
Do beware of barcelona underground trains.
This is an overnight stop before moving down to campsite at Ampolla, for about 6 days and then down towars Valencia.
Chris.

Assuming starting from Narbonne, do you really need to overnight between Narbonne and Ampolla?

Even towing I'd reckon about 5 hours maximum to cover approx 250 miles, mainly motorway.

I agree. We towed our caravan from Lezignan (near Narbonne) to Barcelona ( Tre Stelle Campsite) in just over 5 hours.

We left Narbonne about 09.00, drove until about noon, had a leisurely lunch, continued our way to arrive before 16.00.

Bearing in mind we are fuel conscious wrinklies towing a caravan then, speed fiend like what you is, should do it in less

Hi,
Thanks for reply.
Actually starting from Figeac and looking for somewhere between Narbonne and say 30 km after border.
Then next day to Ampolla
Whole route Figeac-Narbonne area - Ampolla - Enguera - Madrid - Haro - Figeac.
Just hope the diesel price does not go any higher, but want to see friends we have not seen for 3 years.
Chris.
