In France this summer we need to travel from a campsite near Macon to a site near Blere; only about 250 miles.
We have 4 days for this journey and wondered if any of you know of any place (and campsite) worth stopping at for 3-4 days between Macon and Blere?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Is Sancerre far off your planned route? Lovely hilltop medieval village that is worth at least a day. Sorry haven't stayed over there so can't recommend a campsite but as per previous post there will be plenty listed on here
AltEgo, What would Interest you? I can’t choose for you.
Close to that route are two word famous cathedrals in historic cities, a couple of outstanding gardens, lazy days on the river bank of the Loire, village markets, lots of chateaux, all sorts of vineyards with wine tasting opportunities. And there are campsites close by them all.
I hope it goes well.

Hi,
I should have mentioned we have our dog with us! So Chateaux etc. are out unless dogs can go round their gardens.
We usually aim for gardens, towns, villages etc. where our dog can be with us.
Or just attractive scenery.
