Hi there
We are bringing our van back from storage in France to the uk. It has been in France for 8 years and we have used the ATMB tag on the peages when travelling down to it.
So, we can use the tag on the way down to it, but on the way back when we are towing the 7 m van, can we use it? If not, how do we stop it from thinking we have used it 🤷‍♀️ Sorry if it is obvious but I can’t find any clear information online.

Just use the tag normally. The peage machine will register whether you are towing or not and will charge accordingly.

No issues with using your TAG with the caravan, except of course you will be charged Class 2 tolls

We had no issue using our TAG whether towing or not towing.

Or get a Trigano Silver caravan which is designed to be classe 1 and so save 60% toll fee.

Be careful if you have a large car and a large caravan! a friend of ours had a large double axle,caravan with a/c on top behind an oldish (very square) Range-Rover, he was, at times recognized as group 3 (HGV), a quick call on the peage phone soon got it sorted.

Also, avoid the channels with a height barrier. Don’t ask how I know…….
Basically drift to the right on most péages.
