Can anyone advise whether we can take breakfast cereal to Spain.Have been scouring the Internet for weeks but can't seem to get a definite rule only generalisation.
Would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks

Of course you can. It’s not heroin for goodness sake. Spanish, french, Dutch customs are just simply not interested in cornflakes or bacon!! S G Thomas does have a good point about price however.

The value porridge 75p/kilo is half the price of porridge in France or Spain so we always include a few bags of that. A couple of big bags of Tetley teabags as well although once that runs out Aldi or Lidl thé noir does the job ok.
These regulations are intended for imports of large scale quantities of meat and dairy products, and I think you would be very unlucky indeed to be stopped by the one jobsworth who insisted that you hand over the pack of streaky bacon, the cheddar cheese, and the left-over milk in the bottle you packed into the caravan fridge. Certainly there have been no mentions of any such searches, fines, or confiscations, from those who are travelling more frequently, such as people with homes in France.
Just to update.
We went straight through customs in Bilbao the only thing they asked was "do you have animals" no other checks.
Unfortunately vehicle broke down first day so in garage at the moment, will report on that when we get it back.
