Hi,
We are taking our dog into France for the first time since Brexit.
She has to have a special chicken based hypoallergenic dog food which is only available through a vet practice (cannot be bought online or from a store).
The rules state, "... you cannot take any types of dog food or dog treats containing meat or meat derivatives from the UK into another EU country except where a special pet feed is required for medical reasons (and then only if weighing less than 2 kilograms)".
Our vet is willing to provide a letter of her special needs but does anyone know if this 2 Kg allowance is PER PERSON or PER DOG? We are hoping it is per person (as are the other allowances) but I cannot find any definitive reference to it.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We have just came over with 24kg of special dry kibble, last year while worrying about the rules only brought 12kg and had a lot of bother finding a top up.
You will be fine.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
