Thinking of a short lateAug/early Sept trip to Brittany not too far from St Malo in small site near to the coast. Ages since we went that way. Any recommendations?

I'm going at beginning of September, for the second time, to Camping La Pointe just outside Chateaulin in Finisterre. It's a couple of hours drive from St Malo, but closer to Roscoff. Fantastic site run by a pleasant English couple. Half an hour from the sea and Chateaulin is a lovely town on the Nantes to Brest canal. Well worth the drive from Saint Malo - check out the reviews.
We have used Camping Domaine Du Logis in the past for a stopover on the way to/from the ferry and thought it would be worth returning to for a longer stay.
Bridie, There’s a stretch of coast in northern Brittany between St Malo and Erquy which we like very much. With a car/caravan we would go back to campsites which we know at Matignon or Pleboulle - which are villages a few miles inland - and drive to different seaside places every day.. But with a campervan you may wish to be within walking distance of the sea so I suggest Camping La Vallee at St Pabu near Erquy -it’s about 30 miles west of St Malo All those sites are listed on here and reviewed by various good people.

How about "Le Bois Coudrais" near Cuguen, near Combourg, about 15 km from ST Malo. Stopped there several times a few years ago and always a pleasant relaxing stay.
