Need a little bit of help with this one. We didn't manage any camping in 2022 and as next year I have an "0" birthday, I'd like something a bit special!

We're used to driving in France so thought if we can find a really good park with some decent waterslides and outdoor play areas, the kids (will be age 12 & 13) would tolerate 10-14 nights camping. I've been googling and all that I can find have only mobile home / pre-erected tent rentals and not pitches. Does anyone have any recommendations - kind of Vendee coastline as don't fancy an overnight stop

Bonus marks for any with decent cycling nearby, ideally I'd like a site with a shop and takeaway but not a massive commercial site although I realise the waterpark requirement would probably negate this!

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

I don’t know it but Club les Brunelles looks to be the sort of site you are asking for.

For the perfect water center based campsite go to LE PIN PARASOL
6 Château Long
85220 La Chapelle-Hermier. 5*
This site is expensive but if it's what you want it's value for money.
Green Flag put me in this campsite when my car broke down, the recovery van carrying a random British camper van drove for miles and went past several perfectly adequate campsites to get here.

For the peoples ecconomy version try: Campsite Lac de Ribou, Allée Léon Mandin, 49300 Cholet, France 4*
Region : Loire Valley.
There is an energy about this campsite, when I went there I wished I had a young nephew or 2 to watch their reaction.
Younger children are catered for with imaginative climbing structures, teenagers have the pools, water slides and games pitches.
It has a proper restaurant but also a pizzeria and ice cream parlor.
The Carabouille playground is even bigger now than when I went there.
Yes Madam Cholet the womble is named after this town and the French have never heard of wombles.
When planning my trip I decided to avoid this campsite, it's everything I despise, after recovering my repaired car I headed North and couldn't find a campsite, in Cholet signposts led me there as dusk fell. When I realised where I was I almost groaned aloud. I really enjoyed my night there and the pizza was brilliant.
