There's a newly opened campsite at Louviers between Rouen and Evreux, open from mid-March until the 1st November. I thought it may help many of us who use that route.
Thanks, realised that after I'd posted, but the new owners seem to have completely refurbished the sanitaires. Someone on another forum has reported staying there in August 2022 so don't let ten year old reviews put you off.
If anyone does stay perhaps they could add an up to date review.

At €25.5 a night in late September for 2 adults seems rather expensive especially as there seems to be no hard standings.
That's only a few cents short of the price of a dozen bottles of the rather splendid Cotes du Rhone Fruite in the current Lidl "Foire aux Vins".

I missed the Foire aux vins this year because I had used up my 90 days earlier. Enjoy your good fortune

According to the site report in 2020 this reported change took place then so it's not newly opened
Sorry, I read on the site website - Opening of the campsite March 2022 - and as we hadn't noticed the site on previous overnight stays in Louviers presumed it had just opened this year. But regardless of the negative comments about price, etc., it remains a site on a well used route where there are few other sites in the area.

We had great success at the equivalent Foire in Carrefour yesterday, where there were six bottles for the price of four, or even three! We got some real bargains and even a gold medal winning Fitou (our local vignerons) which worked out at just €2.64 a bottle.
Meant to stay there two weeks ago.arrived early reception closed so we had a walk round.pitches all under trees.sanitary facilities looked unclean.decided to move on a few miles to les andeleys.excellent site used acsi, about 20 euros.on river, walk into town.class.
