Slovenia and Croatia, not sure if you've looked at the previous posts through the Search Facility.
Some of them might be of use to you.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We’ve been to both countries several times. The main road networks are as good as any other EU country. Camp sites are plentiful and we always find the locals friendly and welcoming. English is widely spoken.
What exactly are your concerns?
We've done it lots of times. There is no problem at all so long as you stick to the main roads and use the tunnels as opposed to the passes. There are some spectacular views in parts.
One thing you will need to drive on the main roads (motorways and expressways) in Austria and Slovenia is a vignette for each country.
Vignettes for both countries can now be bought online in advance or, for Austria only, at the border.
More info here (follow the links for each country).
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We've been to Slovenia twice with a caravan. We intended to go to Croatia but never made it as we loved Slovenia so much. Its so beautiful with so much to do.
Lake Bohinj is a real highlight. Our favorite campsite was Camping Menina in the stunning Logar Valley.
We had no issues towing from Austria into Slovenia, its a great road.
"Oh is concerned that the road from Austria to Slovenia
will be steep."
It is-but its downhill!
Whilst there are lots of people who have towed a van to both it is of course dependent upon which route you are considering.
We find viaMchelin very useful for planning not just distance and time but also cost.
