We go to our main site in france for a month in May June. We provisionally book the site and pitch. when we leave. We get conformation in November/ December.

Late to the party, I too would advise e-mailing them to ask for their tariff for 2023.

Unusually, as we're going to France in high season this year as opposed to our normal May/June dates, we've decided to book as some popular sites were already getting full when we left in June this year.
Whilst researching over the past few weeks it seems quite a few sites are now starting to take bookings, especially those belonging to some of the big organisations such as Flower, Huttopia etc, though it should be noted that not all sites in a group seem to come online at the same time. Many are now offering early booking deals such as 20% off, waving booking fees etc provided you book before the end of December so we've taken advantage of that and booked at Benodet (Yelloh), Saumur (Flower) and Noirmoutier d'Ile (Huttopia).
Those that we haven't been able to book yet are independent sites and municipals and even e-mailing them doesn't get a response so I suspect that there is nobody monitoring the e-mails. My advice would be to check back online with the sites regularly which is how I discovered those we've booked with had opened their bookings.
