Starting to get organised with a Brittany coast tour for June/early July 2023. We've got a motorhome, and husband has slightly limited mobility (has electric wheelchair) so planning to do a combination of aires in either very scenic or very convenient (near shops and attractions) spots plus a campsite every 2-3 days for EHU, laundry, use a swimming pool etc. We're going to start in Nantes and then go clockwise round the coast. We're pretty much sorted for the south and south west of Brittany, but would welcome any campsite ideas in the north and west - cant see much between Brest and St Pol de Leon. Would prefer sea views/proximity but appreciate we need some inland options in case it's wet and windy ! would prefer not to pay more than €25/night; like municipals very much.

The section you have named - between Brest and St Pol de Leon - is perhaps the least visited stretch of the Brittany coast. If you are out there before the French school holidays begin you will have no difficulty finding somewhere to stop with a motorhome. You don’t need to plan campsites six months in advance.

It’s an untamed stretch of coast - rocky cliffs, coves and three or four long narrow sea inlets - the Abers. Those are the attractions - but west of Roscoff there are no towns or pretty villages and little else to attract visitors apart from the coast itself..

A good guide book will pick out a few places you might like to visit, but please don’t overplan your tour so far in advance. Go and have a look and see if you like it - but in view of your personal circumstances it’s not an obviously wheelchair friendly area to go to. Good luck.

We're fond of Lanildut. Camping du Tromeur is no longer a municipal but still has that sort of feel or did when we last visited.
