I uninstalled the via Michelin app on my IPad and reinstalled it and it has got the caravan option.
Les
The App does, but not the website, which is what I use. I have emailed them, yet again, this morning.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I use the atlas and read the legend. If in doubt, I miss it out and go elsewhere. However usually if there is a caravan site, there will be access. But, and there is always one, or two. Sites can be steep. I've been on a couple where they tow you up the hill to save your car!
Update: Had another email from Viamichelin, and it looks as if the caravan option will only remain on the App for a short time, before being removed altogether. From the hugely increased amount of pop-up adverts on the ViaMichelin website, it seems they are concentrating on trying to flog you a hotel, or a cruise, or various other things, rather than provide route planning!
Hello Ms. Aldridge,
We apologize for the delay in this late response.
We understand your disappointment at the removal of this option and we thank you for your message which allows the teams to prioritize future services.
Following major improvement work on the route calculator, the teams had to remove this option without a precise date for a return to the ViaMichelin site.
In the meantime, the option remains available for a few additional months on our ViaMichelin application.
Michelin advisors remain at your disposal and thank you for your trust.
It seems that there are even more problems now, with Viamichelin route planning. Whilst it gives you a total cost it no longer breaks this down into the cost of the tolls, and the cost of fuel for each option. Instead it gives you banners across the top, with links to AirFrance, the Caravan Club and a variety of other useless information.
Anyone using a good route planner which gives three options, and the cost of fuel and tolls for each option? Sanef only gives you a recommended route as far as I can see.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I now longer trust the routings as being up to date. A few days ago I was after a route from Poland to Iasi in Romania and viaMichelin route was through Ukraine

Thanks for replying Les. I tried to find Val A's post but couldn't find it so I have contacted via Michelin, let's see if I get a reply.

Here is what Michelin wrote back to me initially on the 8th February:
We have received your message concerning the "car with caravan" option.
Following work carried out by the “ViaMichelin” teams to improve the route calculator, this option is no longer available and should be back soon.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Michelin advisors remain at your disposal and thank you for your trust.
Cordially,
And in response to a second email suggesting it still wasn't working:
Hello Mrs A,
We have received your last message and have passed on your comments to the teams concerned in order to improve the service.
Michelin advisors remain at your disposal and thank you for your trust.
I'm afraid that after the second email I don't hold out much change of the caravan option being returned.
Latest message on 7th September 2023 (not accessed until today):
Hello Mrs Aldridge,
We are pleased to inform you that the “Car with caravan” option is once again operational on the ViaMichelin website:
https://www.viamichelin.fr/
Hoping that this service will be useful to you during your next trips, we remain available for any further information.
Michelin advisors remain attentive to your needs and thank you for your trust.
Sincerely,
Sasha

So some good news at last, and proves persistence pays off. I sent a message at least once a month!
