Anyone been there, good, bad? Near the town of Riaza about an hour north of Madrid. Planing to use as an overnight as we leave Sheppard's Rest for this Sundays boat at Santander. Got any other recommendations let us know please.
It's car and caravan.
Have used it many times over the years to and fro Spain/ UK and it suits us well, we never unhitch, pitch near the large toilet block. The restaurant when open is expensive and the site shop is hardly ever open. Mobile single is dire but free wi fi near the restaurant. Plenty of showers, big washing up area etc.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We visited this site late in the year a few years back on our way to Santander for our ferry. It was only for a one night stopover and was in the middle of November. Ideal for a one night stop but cannot comment any further. It has everything you'll need with huge shower/toilet blocks and very long pitches. Not the easiest place to find in the dark unless you have the Sat Nav co-ordinates but Google maps overhead view will help. Beautiful surroundings with snow on the mountain tops. Enjoy.
Arrived Saturday mid afternoon. It was rammed, cars parked everywhere, parties/barbecues on the accsess roads, never seen so many kids on every mode of transport they could ride. Shower was dirty, think they have been washing plant machinery in it.
Plus side it is a scenic area. Would go again but defo low season, never at a peak demand time. 28 euro, 2 peeps and leccie
