Hi.
Where do you go in the south of France. We have been to camping les sablons about 7 yrs ago looking to go back to the south of France next Yr and want ideas for campsites. Was going to do Spain but decided France instead. Something with a beach front or close to. Must do caravan pitches and have tents or chalets to hire also. Cheers and Tia

They have plenty pitches and rentals. The site was split in two by the main coast road - about 4 rows directly behind the beach (expensive even in Sept), the major part (reasonably priced) starting back about 100 yards into vineyards where we stayed. Road fairly busy but non too obtrusive - no need to cross the road to the beach as there is an underpass - which probably doubles as a storm drain in winter.
Good sandy beach with a view across to St Tropez and the luxury yachts moored in the bay - some with helicopter pads................
Pretty easy access to a good LeClerc supermarket at Cogolin - 10 to 15 mins taking the D98 west just south of Port Grimaud.
Only thing we found was that the sea was pretty chilly compared to much of the west of France - probably because the tide in the Med has a very short reach so incoming tide doesn't have the benefit of a couple of hundred yards of warm sand.

Tents and chalets are easy to find, but it all depends whether you also want a site with multiple pools, water slides, nightly entertainment , children’s club and disco, bar/ restaurant , supermarket, beauty salon and hairdresser - or somewhere simpler. There are all sorts.
We had a caravan stored in Argeles-sur-mer. We've used Le Soleil for the past 18 years. The site is right on the coast and has mobile homes for hire.
