I am just back from a 4 week trip touring various parts of France. As we moved North on our way back to Calais we booked into the Municipal campsite at Combourg on the Brittany/Normandy borders. What a little diamond of a site. Located beside a lake (fishing possible) and walking distance into the town of Combourg. My wife was using a mobility scooter and the level route into town was done easily. Great eateries in town as well as a nearby supernarket and Chateau to explore. Good clean showers (Water hot all times of the day)and toilets and good sized pitches. Free wifi included. ....all for the princely sum of 13.90Euro a night. What a find?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We were there for the first time in June this year and then had a few days there last month. As you say, a lovely little site, a municipal at its best. Thought I'd done a review, but obviously not yet (sorry).
Sounds great - we love municipals as they are often within easy reach of a town yet offer lots of space on the pitches. Thanks for the note on accessibility John, we're always looking for sites my husband can explore from in his powered wheechair ! If you want to visit the Loire, Camping Route de l'Or in La Flèche also fits into this category !
