Having just had a lovely night at Bunree on Loch Linnie in Scotland, we’re wondering if there are any similar sites in France ie not too big and hectic. We’ve toured France fairly extensively and a lot of lakeside sites seem to be understandably all singing all dancing in nature. Another request - lower altitude would be best for my husband. Any suggestions?

Stayed here back in 2019 loved it and the area around aswell. Dont think altitude would be a huge problem on site but there are higher towns and villages around. Camping du Brec
Most all singing all dancing type sites are only really that way in the high season. You don't say when you are wanting to travel, but things are always much quieter in June and September. We liked the Lac D'Orient site near Troyes.
