Hi,
Just looking at plans for next year, can anyone recommend campsites near or in Montsoreau, France as I am looking to take my caravan and explore the area for about a week?
Many Thanks

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I'm assuming you mean the village on the Loire to the east of Saumur. It would be helpful if people asking for advice about small villages could at least give us some indication of the department, nearest well known town etc without us having to google it!
Personally I'd go a bit further east and use Le Sabot at Azay Le Rideau which is a bit more central for the sights west of Tours, eg Villandry, Usse, Azay itself, Chinon, Fontevraud Abbey and Saumur.
There is just the one campsite at Montsoreau - Camping l’Isle Verte. It is very popular and well liked by visitors from the UK and attracts them in large numbers. It can be booked with one of the UK Clubs and other British organisations hold rallies there. As a result some have dubbed that campsite Little Britain. That may or may not appeal to you.

We have stayed there in the past and it is a nice site close to the village and the river. Unless it has changed dramatically I don't think I would say that it was "little Britain"? Any number of sites in the northern half of France have a lot of uK visitors and yet they manage to maintain their Frechness.
