Sorry to hear you feel it is time to stop your caravan adventures in France, but I'm sure you have many, many wonderful memories. As they say (or my dad did, anyway) "they can't take away what you've already had".

I'm fairly sure that when we first started to use ACSI there was a limit on the number of guides that were available. Since then the scheme has been a roaring success and heavily recommended on here and elsewhere and sites are, understandably, much busier than before. Have you thought about looking at municipals? Their rates are often competitive with ACSI and they often have access to a whole range of municipal swimming and sports facilities.

Agreed, I'm a firm advocate of municipals, as you say there's a whole range with access to facilities and the rates are very reasonable.
Many seaside towns have municipals and many municipals also appear in the ACSI guide (we stayed at Camping Nantes in June for €22 per night at the ACSI rate which was cheaper than their standard rate). Of course, the ACSI rate only applies out of high season.
I found the French sites in Dunkirk where I am planning to stay in May 2024 at both ends of a 2-week trip is still not accepting bookings!
Apart from that, and a CAMC site for October 2024, I am all booked up for next year!
