Starting to research buying a used caravan in France (where we will be living) after selling our camper van a couple of years ago. At this stage, comparing ads in le boncoin with Autotrader and Gumtree in UK, I've had a real shock. There seems to be a vast difference in the price of used vans. An instance is a 2000 Elddis 4 berth for sale at 8,500 euros compared to a similar van 11 years YOUNGER for less in the UK. Similarly, euro spec vans like Hobby and Burstner are massively cheaper in UK than France. Is this true or am I not looking on the right websites? What are the disadvantages to buying a van in the UK and putting it through the system in France? Is it worth the pain/hassle? What does everyone think? It certainly seems worth the cost. (BTW I have been living in Greece for 6 years,am an Irish Citizen so not affected by Brexit or Visas etc)
