We are thinking of taking our tent to France for the first time and, after viewing a few camp sites, I notice some of them have Freecamp Original facilities (own small shed with toilet and cooking facilities).
Can anyone recommend a good site with one of these 'sheds'? Preferably a quiet site not too far from a ferry port.

This post lists sites with pitches that have their own bathroom facilities, and a lot of sites will have their own campers kitchen too of that helps
I'll add to this that Nantes Camping has 'super pitches' which have BBQ, sunbeds, and hut with kitchen sink and fridge freezer but oddly (although that goes along with the site's other very individual features !) not a private shower or loo. They are, however, close to the site's excellent, single sex wet rooms and loos.

You can use the Eurocamping website (not sure if I can link to it on here, so message me on valathome2010 at hotmail.co.uk for a link). Advanced Search facility to search for sites with private bathrooms on the pitch. Look in map view and each red block will link to an individual site. One of the previous threads on this topic has my old list of sites, and I'm updating it at the moment.
