Merry Christmas all, we are trying to plan our summer caravanning holiday. We usually travel the Vendee area in France with our 3 children. Ages 9, 12, 15.
This year we are sailing to Santander and working our way up to St Malo, travelling for three weeks.
Can anyone recommend any nice sites, thinking a night or 2 in Santander, travelling to St Sebastian/Biaritz for a 5-7 nights. Then Saint Emilion Bordeaux for 7 nights before heading North to St Malo.
Any sites, recommendations or advice most welcome. Pulling a Sprite Quattro FB. Many thanks in advance.
Jon

We did something similar a few years back. My trip report is here.
I'd definitely try to spend some time in the Pyrenees but oit depends what you and your children enjoy.

Orio Kanpina (https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=19157) is a great site, lots of good nearby restaurants, beside a beach, 15 min walk to the town where there is a 10-15 min train journey to San Sebastien. Recommended.

Have a look at the campsite search on here. You can add lots of filters and the sites which come up will have reviews from this community.

Caravanning Oyambre was a lovely site when we stayed there several years ago. You have to be careful when booking though as there is another site with a very similar name nearby (Camping Oyambre Beach) which is a dump, full of long term residents who had set up a lot of kit making it look like a shanty town.

I did a review of Caravanning Oyambre several years ago so you should be able to find it in the reviews section.

Halfway between Santander and St Malo we often took children to the mainland stretch of coast between Royan and tne Oleron bridge. They loved the wildness of the dangerous surf on the Cote Sauvage and the miles of forest trails with hired bikes. There are all manner of sites - perhaps 25€ a night in an orchard behind a farmhouse or 75€ a night if you want a site with an elaborate water park - we tried both.

The spelling in the site listing on here slightly different.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
