Any of them are nice but if you want a quiet one you will need to go out of season. The area is very popular at peak times.
You don't say if you are tent, motorhome or caravan camping but if you haven't travelled that far before bear in mind the journey could take three days.
The scenery around the area is great.

There are several four star lakeside sites with full on aquatic centres and water slides, but very busy in summer. Is that what you want ? Personally I would go to the Ferme des Ferrieres site - in the hills at Alex and a few miles away from the lake -visit Annecy town from there and use beaches on the lake for swimming . But that may not suit you.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Hi,
We too would recommend Camping L'Ideal, having stayed there in 2022.
We liked it so much we were going back last year but sadly had to cancel due to ill health.
Choosing sites is a very personal thing, and we have visited sites that have lots of good reviews and wondered what people saw in them.
L'Ideal however, whist definitely not quiet, had a fantastic atmosphere with a lively bar and very good restaurant-and that was in June!
The pool was very nice and the sites position was great.
It's some time since we were camping alongside the lake, but from memory the Southside is beautiful.
If you drive to Doussard ( nr Albertville).and take the road on the left.
The campsites look more spacious.
We found the campsites on the road to Albertville had tiny, cramped pitches.
Annecy is a lovely place , enjoy.

We have stayed at Camping La Ravoire at the bottom end of lake Annecy. I wouldn’t call the site quiet, but neither is it one of the very lively sites. We liked it. It’s right on the cycle path along the lake and there is a lake beach just across the road.
We moved sites after a few days, heading up towards Mont Blanc. We were in La Clusaz, it was breathtakingly beautiful and really quiet (not ideal for a teenager unless they enjoy hiking or MTB). Lakeside sites are ideal for watersports.
