I gather these happened at Calais and Cherbourg yesterday, causing delays and cancellations.
I also came across an article (in French Connexion) saying more strikes are planned for 13th, 21st and 25th of this month, but can find no confirmation of this elsewhere, including talking on the phone to Brittany Ferries.
As we are due to travel back from Cherbourg on 25th with our dogs, and must have a pet-friendly cabin as one of them has epilepsy so we can't leave him in the car in case he has a fit, I'm thinking maybe I need to change our booking ASAP.
Has anyone else seen dates for future strike action, or is it just speculation?

Strikes in French Ports in June 2024
June 2, 6, 10, 12, 14, 18, 20, 24, 26, 28

A strike day has been called in all French ports on 10 separate days in June because of pension and labour issues.

Stoppages will last for at least a period of four hours between 10:00 and 16:00.

The strike, called by the Union of Transport and Logistics Companies of France, could delay ship operations and affect container removal operations and docking.

It is expected to have more of an effect on freight operations than ferry travel.

Found this on https://trans.info/en/france-s-cgt-union-calls-for-another-strike-at-french-ports-388683

CGT is urging port workers to participate in several-hour strikes and 24-hour actions. The CGT’s June schedule includes:

A four-hour break from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (exact time depending on ports) on 4, 6, 10, 12, 14, 18, 20, 24, 26, and 28 June
A 24-hour break on 13, 21, and 25 June
A so-called ‘dead ports’ day on 7 June (blocking gates and access to port areas)

On Friday morning, French authorities reported severe disruption at the port of Calais and the port of Dunkirk, as well as traffic jams on the A16 motorway.

We travelled back from Cherbourg 12.00 on Thursday, no problems at docks, a few detours getting there due to road closures for D Day.

Is there a website where I can find out which ports are affected. We travel back on the 0830 on 28 June.

Your booking is nearly three weeks away. Your ferry company will inform you nearer the time.

When I spoke to BF about this, they said that they usually only get 2 or 3 days notice, and then would try to find us a similar crossing to the one we've booked.
The problem for us was that we have dogs who
need to visit a vets before our return, and we need a pet friendly cabin so that the one who has epilepsy is not in the car, but with us, should he
have a fit.
For us, the easiest option was just to
move our booking, especially as the next suitable one only had 1 pet friendly cabin available.

As a regular month of June Channel ferry crosser, I've kind of become accustomed over the decades to the annual 'French peasants revolting' in June! Thankfully never actually impacted our travels, but always a cause of some concern!

I have just left Dover on P&O, on time and no queues at French Border Control. Today was supposed to be one of the "strike" days but no sign of it here.

Not due to strikes but just had an email from B/F apologising saying that due to works on the port it is taking longer than usual to clear to disembark.
