Hi, can some of the more frequent Venise Vert visitors tell me, on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 is standing on deck in the middle of the Atlantic during high winds, and 10 is standing in a marsh at Glencoe in high humidity, just how bad are the midges in Venise Vert ?
Thinking of May / June and probably Camping La Venise Vert, Camping Des Conches or Camping d'Arcais la Taillee.
Many thanks.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We were there in June this year, we decided not to stay at the ACSI site near Coulon after looking around and found one at Damvix which suited us better. We had no trouble with midges at all, the weather was a bit hit and miss which may have made a difference if they are a problem in the area.
Midges and mosquitos come and go with the weather and I can’t predict that, but if you choose to camp in the middle of a swamp in June there is always a chance of them being there. So don’t pay for sites in advance - be willing to move on if you are troubled.

We spent a few days at Camping La Venise Verte last Summer and didn't notice any midges at all, a few mosquito's although it was in early to mid August if that makes a difference
