Currently near the above, le clos auroy and are looking at 2 nights somewhere nice with a spot of fishing on the way to arras , which is considered the best route around Paris, were looking at Troyes area but wonder if it's better the other way round
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Some years ago we stayed to the east of Troyes in the "Parc Naturel Regional de la Foret d'Orient". Lakeside on a very big lake with fishing - think it was "Camping de Lac d'Orient". Not far off the A5,

Yes we've been to lac d orient a few times, but wonder if it is easier the other way round Paris, not good for the ticket on the perepherique
Presuming you're going to the tunnel my route to the W of Paris would be one the I've done more N to S;
From CF - A71 to Orleans and join A10.
North of Orleans N124 Chartres, Dreux, Evreux to Rouen.
The A28 Abbeville, A16 to tunnel.
Can't think I've stayed anywhere with fishing on that route, in fact only places I've stayed is just S of Orleans (going S) and Chartres (going N).
My preference from CF would be to head towards Chalons sur Saone and then Troyes.
