Hi everyone , we are going back to France this year again as its ace. We travel Rosyth / Zeebrugge in August and are going to Camping Pong in Vendee . We plan a leisurely drive with a night stopover somewhere south west of Paris on the way accross , prob do about 4-5 hours drive from ferry. What we were thinking is stopover in a Formule 1 or similar for the night , we have two kids ages 2 & 7 staying plus my wife and i . Problem is these hotels state 3 per room , would they allow 2 adults and two kids to share a room , has anyone done this in France?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Hi, we're going to Royan with a 3 and 1 year old this summer (been before) and staying at Logis de France. www.logisdefrance.com. Auberge St Jacques in Meung Sur Loire on the way down (gets you South of Paris on day one) - good reasonably priced accommodation and a good restaurant. The little one's still in a travel cot so can go in the family room, but they do have two linked rooms so you would be OK with them. The restaurant is within baby monitor range of the bedrooms too, so you can eat in peace! It's in a village so nice location, and they have a secure parking area for trailers etc.. We're returning via Boulogne and our overnight stop is probably not on your route to Zeebrugge, but I can recommend the logis - they're real French family run hotels. You get a friendly welcome, and good value. And you can book online too.
