We crossed it on the day it opened last December - and then again last week - the toll cost for a car is 4 euros 90 cents at present, and I think 6 euros in the height of summer. Unfortunately you have no idea how high you are as you drive across - all you see are long distance views - or of the scale of the bridge unless you see if from below. If you have any spare time at all it's worth a detour after you've crossed it to drive back down into Millau on the old road from La Cavalarie - stop at the 'viewing area' on the right as you round the corner, then drive up towards St Affrique and under the bridge to the Visitor Centre - only then do you get any sense of scale - and even then you can't believe that the ribbon above you is actually a six lane wide autoroute. It is just incredible. I think the only way you would get any sense of how high it is would be to walk across (you can't, obviously) and look over the side!!!!!!
