Thanks for the information so far, folks.
The web site Marian pointed to looks really useful. But according to my FFCC guide book, there are lots more camp sites around the lake than the few listed there. And thanks, Pixie, for suggesting La Ravoire - that could turn out to be our choice.
In previous years we have stayed at 1. "Au coeur du lac" in Sevrier (really nice site, direct onto the cycle track; not quite by the water's edge but fairly close; really high hedges block the views of the mountains on the other side of the lake!) - that's the site Marian quoted the link for 2. "Le lac bleu" near Doussard (nice site, level, great views from the water's edge, not by the cycle track) - Caroline, we had a lovely pitch right by the lake here - 10 steps to paddling! 3. "L'Aloua" at Sevrier (nice site - too long ago now to recall the detail of situation, but it wasn't at the water's edge)
So any more experience that anyone's got will be most welcome!
