There are also a couple of other, less well served, airports fairly close to Frejus. Marseille/Provence airport is around 90 minutes away and Toulon/Hyeres airport is around 1 hour away. Click on links for more info.
An excellent website which helps you find the best prices is www.skyscanner.net.

If you fancy a more adventurous or economic way to get from the airport to the campsite, why not take a trip on the local bus. The bus stops outside both Terminals 1 and 2 and there are 4 buses both ways throughout the day. The tour takes you through Mandelieu and lasts about 75 minutes (about twice as long as driving). Tickets can be bought either on board or at the booth opposite the station (where you can also find out the bus number). Times are as follows:
Nice Airport-St. Rapahel
Depart Nice Airport 0900 hours -Arrive St. Raphael 1015 hours
Depart Nice Airport 1230 hours - Arrive St. Raphael 1345 hours
Depart Nice Airport 1545 hours - Arrive St. Raphael 1700 hours
Depart Nice Airport 1930 hours - Arrive St. Raphael 2045 hours
St. Raphael-Nice Airport
Depart St. Raphael 0700 hours - Arrive Nice Airport 0815 hours
Depart St. Raphael 1030 hours - Arrive Nice Airport 1145 hours
Depart St. Raphael 1400 hours - Arrive Nice Airport 1515 hours
Depart St. Raphael 1715 hours - Arrive Nice Airport 1830 hours
(Please note that these times are approximate, especially in high season when the roads are busier).
Once you get to the bus-station in St. Rapahel or Frejus, pick up a connecting bus, which runs past the campsite, or jump in a taxi. Easy.

Motorail
Motorail is an attractive option. After the short Channel crossing your car is loaded at Calais whilst you relax aboard the same train. It allows you to travel by night, sleep onboard and relax and take in the scenery by day, plus you avoid the toll road charges (price is roughly the same as the toll road costs).
Sleeping accommodation is available as 2, 4 or 6 birth 'Couchettes', where the seats convert into beds. |

Cars are subject to a maximum overall height of 1.63 metres, including roofrack (1.55 metres with trailer and with bicycle carrier). They also require a ground clearance of 0.10 metres and a track not exceeding 1.85 metres. Bicycles may be transported on a secure cycle rack attached to the rear of the vehicle (Max 2 bicycles and there may be a charge).
Windsurf boards and roof boxes can be transported, but incur a supplement (£15 for windsurf boards / £56 (£74 Fri and Sat) for roof boxes) per single journey (2004 prices). Trailer rates are available on request.
Please arrive at the terminal at least 2 hours before departure. There are no refunds for missed trains. Food on board may be limited, so it is wise to take refreshments with you. |
Ferries
The most popular route, as the majority of travellers choose to take their car with them. So it is no surprise to see the ferry companies providing a huge variety of services to carry you and your family across the Channel.

Rail
If you fancy the old one-two from London all they way down to St. Raphael in comfort then why not arrange for the Eurostar over to Paris and then hop on the superfast TGV, which speeds to St. Raphael in just 3 hours. There is a trip across Paris on the Metro to contend with, but otherwise this is a lazy way to get to your holiday, sitting at the bar, watching the beautiful French countryside whizz past.
Your holiday is then just a short taxi ride (5 miles) away.
We have also included a number of other websites that may be of importance to you. If you discover any other sites that you think should be linked to, then please let us know.
