Hi

My tent, family and I are off to France (Auvergne) in a couple of weeks and i need to purchase a camping gaz 907 bottle. I have just been to my local stockist and he is quoting £40 for an empty one and £51 for a full one. This is more than the cooker cost!!! How much should i be looking to pay?

Am i best buying one in france? Are they cheaper and easier to come across over there? Please bear in mind I cannot leave anything to chance, i definetly need one.

Sounds a huge amount. Suggest you ring round camping and caravanning places and compare costs.  Alternatively try your local recycling depot, they sometimes have empty ones for a few pounds.

I used 907 in the motorhome and they are cheaper in France and readily available at the campsites.

Cheapest of all was Andorra.

 try your local dumps, recycling places, call in 2- times a day if you have to.

you can get them but you have to pay about 3 quid a bottle, then just change them for full ones.

cost about 10-11 quid.
