Fellow travellers,

we are about to embark on a hazardous and whooly unnecessary voyage to disneyland PARIS and would love to find a convenient site for our campervan?  Does anyone know of such a site?

Please let me know.  The things we do for our kids! siiiiiiigh!

Hi Smurfy - try doing a search under Disneyland Paris on the Camping in Europe section. We went and camped at Les Jablines at half term after having got lots of useful information from that section (thank you everyone!). It was a nice site, and they take all the different types of units. The other site that mostly came up was 4  Vents. (Both have websites.)

Have fun (we're going back in October - though not camping -to use our annual passports!)

Hi smurfy,

We stayed at camp Davy Crocket with a motorcaravan. Could be a good site and very convenient. Take great care with anything pinchable like bikes, barbeques, generators or furniture. We had our bikes pinched in broad daylight whilst we were at Disney despite they were fastened together and secured to a tree with good quality locks and chains.

According to a staff member, the  thieves come out of Paris, equiped and with transport and seem to spend lots of time on the site. When they got our bikes several others lost other equipment, even chairs and aqua rolls.

The management were not interested and our holiday was ruined as we had no transport apart from the motor carava which we sold as soon as we got back to the UK.

At the ned of June, we stayed at 4-vents for 4 days while doing the disney thing.
Very handy to get to Disney from there.. about 15km I think. You basically get back onto the motorway, and off again at next exit (straight away) for Disney.

Great site, although quite empty while we were there.
Did spot a good few UK reg caravans & motorhomes there.
Very clean, and well laid-out site.
We got a pitch close to the "facilities", playground & pool.
Very interesting entrance to the pool.. When you opened the "gate" the 4 shower-heads just inside came on automatically, so that you couldnt get to the pool without showering, and no flip-flops allowed around the pool. Made it interesting trying to get a dry towel in there !

Disney itself seemed to be quite busy back in June, so I guess it would get even more busy now in July/August.

Even so, It was a good trip, and the kids had a ball.

Enjoy.

Just as well by the sound of it, if the security was so lax.

I'm about to plan a trip to Disneyland during the second half of September. How busy is the park & surrounding caravan sites at that time of year?

Step up to red alert!

But Sir, are you absolutely sure?
It does mean changing the bulb!

No idea, sorry.

The receptionist in camping-4-vents did say that July/August are their busy time, so I guess when the schools go back in September its probably quiet again.

Having said that, we were in Diseny 25th & 27th June, and it was quite busy... longest queue was 30 mins or so, but always seems longer.
Having said that, only about a quarter of the car park was used when we were leaving again, so I guess "busy" is relative !

Good luck
