Hello

We are going camping in France for the third time in August. Can anyone recommend travel insurance specifically for this purpose? We have just bought standard travel insurance before but this does seem aimed at people travelling by plane, what with cover for lost baggage etc, rather than at campers.

I think we need cover for our possessions, including tent, and healthcare cover as well.

Do the camping and caravan club have an insurance policy geared for you?  We use the caravan club but thats obviously for a caravan.  I think you have to be members though.  Or you could just call at a local Insurance Brokers office, they're bound to have what you are looking for.

I've had a look at the website and they only provide cover for caravans and trailer tents. Plus the online quote was £122 which seems high for just 10 days.

Faye+Chris, Try the Camping a Caravanning Club they do travel insurance through there Carefree Travel dept. The policy is designed for campers and is backed by the Europ Assistance insurance company. Hope this helps.
